After developing the following purpose statement, we were led to organize our efforts into seven distinct areas of ministry.
To bring the community to Southside Baptist Church through the cross of Christ by:
Declaring the Glory of God
Sharing Christ through Scripture
Healing the Hurting through Ministry
Encouraging Membership through Biblical Accountability
Maturing Believers through Prescriptive Discipleship
Refreshing Leaders through Restfully Abiding in Christ
Sending and Supporting Godly Ministers to All Peoples.
Our seven areas of ministry therefore correspond to the seven purposes in our statement.
- Declaring the Glory of God = Worship Ministries
- Sharing Christ through Scripture = Education Ministries
- Healing the Hurting through Ministry = Mercy Ministries
- Encouraging Membership through Biblical Accountability = Membership Ministries
- Maturing Believers through Prescriptive Discipleship = Discipleship Ministries
- Refreshing Leaders through Restfully Abiding in Christ = Leadership Ministries
- Sending and Supporting Godly Ministers to All Peoples = Missions Ministries
